Feeling bad about not having made any new layouts for quite a while, I set to work this evening and made a very straightforward page of my son, daydreaming, early one morning way back in October 2005.  I deliberately kept the layout very clean as I wanted the photograph to be the main focus of the page.  I hope it worked, despite the very eye-catching Lime Rickey I used to decorate the LO.

I wouldn't quite call it a 'Clean and Simple' layout, but it is quite minimalist.

Title cut with the Sizzix 'Cherish' alphabet and a stamp from Technique Tuesday, the text on the bottom is also a Technique Tuesday stamp, and the birds are from La CDE.  Colourbox Chalk inks and a little white Posca marker to highlight and frame the layout.

Lots to keep the fingers busy this month at Scrap etc.  Tonight it was an online crop to make a box in which to store stamped images.  That's handy as I've signed up for the monthly swap there this month, which just happens to be a swap of stamped images   At least I'll have somewhere to keep them safe!

Ninie designed the tutorial (which can be found here) for this cigarette-box-style storage box, thanks sweetie, it was first class!

All papers from My Mind's Eye, a Sugar Nellie stamp, and one from La Cde, a little distressing, and that's about it.  The large flower on the front was a gift from Charlotte.  It matches perfectly with the colour scheme, and now I get to keep it and admire it regularly :)

Another challenge on Scrap etc., another colourful card to send in the post today:

I used Kaly's sketch, papers by SandyLion and Basic Grey and a stamp from Alladine.  A splash of colour to brighten a grey, drizzly day.

This model appealed to me when I saw it posted as this morning's challenge on Scrap etc.  It practically put itself together in no time at all this lunch time.

PP from K&Company (a gift from Sue, thanks!), and some red and green bazzill.  I scallopped the edge of the green with a Martha Stewart border punch, "Hello" from BG or Prima, Imaginesce for the cute chick, mounted on 3D foam, and the 'Petit Beurre' from La Compagnie des Elfes for the border, a few prima flowers and eyelets complete this ten minute card.

This challenge, proposed by Kaly Yesterday, fell at just the right moment.  I shall fill it with small treats (Playmobil, sweets, hair bits'n'bobs etc), and give it to Katy's big sisters when I see them in a fortnight's time.

It's just the right size to use up the oddments of my BG Lemonade collection, which are nearing their end, and it will therefore be coordinated with Katy's card and mini album.

Even scaling it down to a quarter or less of the original size, these make great gift boxes:
