World Cardmaking day

Published on by Antoinette

Saturday last was world Cardmaking Day, and for the occasion there were lots of different cardmaking challenges posted on the forum Scrap etc.  Here are the cards I made for the day.

First up, a 'lemonade stand' card, for which I found the tutorial on the notableNEST blog.  You should take a detour by that blog, it's choc-full of fabbyness!!!

Next up, Nany chose a great card from Kali's blog to inspire us, here's my version:

Then Charlotte challenged us to scraplift her card.  I was disappointed in the result this time, but will definitely be giving thsi challenge another go:

Ninie changed the pace a bit and requested a C&S card.  Her inspiration came from the Hero Arts blog, and the card was so stylish that I scraplifted it to make this:

Fantaisy, too, had an 'inspiration' challenge for us, with a card from Mylen's blog for us to lift:

Never one to do things by halves, we had two challenges from So. Creative, the first of which was to make a monochrome card.  Her sample was just so yummy that I lazily scraplifted it.  Given the late hour at which I made this card, I didn't dare disturb the household by setting up my sewing machine, so I didn't even do the sewing that would have given the card a more polished finish, but I still like the outcome:

And to wrap up this post, a final "card" following So. Creatives workshop on Saturday afternoon.  However, I intend to make a few more similar 'cards' and bind them into a mini album, so watch this space:

tes cartes sont superbe, j'adore la custumisation du tampon bocal. c'est une super idée de l'utiliser comme ça.

C'est la beauté de ce bocal!  Il demande une personalisation à chaque coup, je trouve!
