Super Mario paper-pieced birthday card

Published on by Antoinette

For the first time ever I have actually made a birthday card for one of my own children!!!  It was only when I had it finished that I realised that it's the first one I have made which will actually remain in my home!

Well thank goodness for that, as this one gave me a tremendous headache to make!!!  How can something that looks so simple actually be so difficult to do???

I used a simplified version of Kaly's card as a model (Scrap etc, 4th March), but instead of stamping an image I decided to paper-piece Super Mario for my addicted son.  Never again!  Never, ever, never, never, never again!!!  Cutting out all those fiddly bits, then trying to get them to fit together was a nightmare, my fingers are have little bits of paper glued to them, my nails don't exist anymore, and I can hardly see straight ... though I guess it's worth it knowing that my very own little boy (who's not so little anymore) is going to get a kick out of this little fun card:

Petite astuce si jamais tu tente le même type de carte:  Choisir une image de base avec des lignes noir epaisses!!!  Ca facilite le travail, (et cache des petits erreurs) ... mais
chuuut, c'est notre secret!
